Despite the ‘secular’ crowd here in America; we Protestants do not want church and state partnerships. If they had an actual contextual gripe, yet were offensive in a less deranged manner then amen to their antics. What if they really believe– since Russia’s system allows for Church and State activity –that they thought that the Russian Church was neglectful of their political duty?…Despite their name.

Anyway, insofar as I rather support Church and State partnerships, you’ll get little sympathy from me on that front.
With regards to hypotheticals, maybe. They committed a sacrilege and that’s what I’m primarily concerned with. If they want to go protest outside Putin’s house or even His Holiness +Kiril’s, I wouldn’t complain so much.
That said, given this group’s history, I think they just want to offend, shock, and provoke. I doubt they have a well-thought-out political message.
